Everything on nature is a cycle; like a tree. It borns, raise, transform, lost all the leaves and then blossom again in a long cycle.
Betula is a chair that, starting from this concept, wants to measure a cycle of 365 days. Betula has a pattern made with 365 small birch veneer pieces with birch seeds in the back. Everyday the user can take off one of this pieces recording the pass of the time and allowing us to create our personal pattern. Furthermore, it’s possible to plant each piece to grow a new tree. In that way we’re closing again the cycle of the tree; using the wood to make a chair and planting new ones.
